Has anyone else been following this case as closely as I have been? I'd love to hear what others are thinking about it. I really don't know what will happen once it inevitably ends up in front of the Supreme Court. It kind of worries me.

My "Spouse not recognized in the state of Georgia" (as I have come to call her)and I picked Vermont for our civil union based on this case. I am glad to see the VT courts hold people accountable for the things they agree. Love and family are important decisions and this woman shouldn't be using a the bigoted Virginia courts to get out of her obligations to her former spouse. We'd never let that fly between a man and a woman. I am scared of the national debate that could result, but I am ready to have that conversation myself. - Shy
